Summary: Buyer beware
Comment: This advice is not practical or logical for the average person. Maybe if you are already wealthy it might work. If not you stand to lose everything you own. Read the other negative reviews on this one and dont waste your time or money on this book. I am putting mine where it belongs, in the trash!

Summary: Not What It Seems
Comment: You should know that books like this are used as sales tools by life insurance agents, financial and mortgage planners. Why? Because the books help sell life insurance and mortgages (and that is not a bad thing when an Equity Harvesting plan is setup in the correct manner for the correct client). These types of sales people put in full page newspaper adds touting "Get Rich" seminars based off the teaching of the book. At these seminars books are handed out as sales tools and the presentations at these seminars are based off the fuzzy math from the books.

To give you an insider's tip on these industries, you should know that most of the advisors selling Equity Harvesting plans based on these books do not themselves know that the books use "fuzzy" math and do not accurately address the tax code.

Additionally, sales people like these books because they do NOT have the needed detail with real world math. Why? Because when you give full disclosure on the powerful wealth building concept of Equity Harvesting, you lose sales. It's sad but true.

Therefore, if you have an advisor who's recommends SSOYA or Missed Fortune 101, the advisor either has no idea that these books use "fuzzy" math to reach their conclusions or does know it and recommend the book anyway because they know it will drive sales of products to clients who don't know any better.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Comment: I buy this book by the case and give a copy to every client in my business. It is the simplest form I have found to help people understand the concept of Equity Management! You can read the books put out by Doug Andrews and you can get lost in the complexity of his language and style. The book is the "Equity Management FOR DUMMIES" that makes it all very easy to understand and gets you moving in the direction of taking action with a competent financial professional or two.

Comment: I am glad I stumbled upon "Stop Sitting on Your Assets", it is an amazing book that I believe should be picked up by anyone who cares about taking charge of their financial future. I know a lot more now than when I started, am not groping in the dark about concepts of mortgage, equity and real estate. The H.E.R.O. Solution taught me significant financial concepts so that I can be capable of being my own bank -- which is one of the things that author Marian Snow promises. Apart from learning, I have started to apply these principles, and I am reaping the financial rewards. I'd like to give a hefty thanks to Marian Snow for sharing these secrets. It's about time somebody changed Americans think about equity and mortgage.
